Q : WHY NOT TAKING A LEGAL ACTION AGAINST WEST LOTHIAN COUNCIL FOR THEY UNFAIR POLICY FOR TAXIS PLATE

A : over the year and we have been taking about taxi plate issue in west lothian , as there is nothing we can do about it a part from taking ,

LEGALLY YES we can take legal action because the responsibility for determining the licensing arrangements appropriate to a council’s area is a matter for individual councils to consider under powers contained in the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 (the 1982 Act).

In relation to quantity control, section 10(3) of the 1982 Act provides that “the grant of a taxi licence may be refused by a licensing authority for the purpose of limiting the number of taxis in respect of which licences are granted by them if, but only if, they are satisfied that there is no significant demand for the services of taxis in their area which is un met”. The decision as to whether to restrict the number of taxi licences issued in their area is, therefore, a matter for each individual authority to determine in the light of local circumstances.

in other way legal action may last for few years and in the end you may won the case specially

WHEN THERE IS A CLEAR EVIDENCE REGARDING THE INCREASE DEMAND FOR TAXIS IN WEST LOTHIAN WHICH IS ALSO CONFIRMED BY THE CHIEF SOLICITOR CLEARLY STATED THEY CAN'T RESTRICT THE TAXI PLATE ANY LONGER AND FOR SURE MAKE THIS MATTER ILLEGALLY ABUSED BY THE POWER OF WEST LOTHIAN COUNCIL .

My warning to all drivers in west lothian regarding the restriction that west lothian council may do to protect the big boy business buy opening the taxi plate up and ask the new driver for cars are far too expensive to buy become true ,finally west lothian council insist to protect the big boy business

For sure non of the taxi drivers who renting a taxi plat will be able to pay £25000-£35000 for one of the council new taxis and it will be much cheaper to keep renting the plate as they used to do READ ON >>>>

Q : IS THE REQUEST FOR NEW TAXIS TO HAVE A SIDE WHEEL CHAIR ACCESS LEGAL OR NOT AND WHAT DIFFERENT DOES IT MAKE?

A : i can't answer whether it is legal or not also i have no idea what different would it make but i will email the licence department asking for further explanation and hope to receive respond soon

WHAT HAPPEN IF THE COUNCIL OPENED THE TAXI PLAT UP

First i hope so ,also they should be some new term for any one who want to apply for taxi or even a private hire license not for the suitable car for taxis and away from racism

in recent survey by west lothian council state that too many complained from customers who hire a private hire car and the driver can't speak english at all and they hade to give him a hand direction ,also some of these driver take a wrong or even longer route and his excuse is he don't know the area and don't understand what they says

yes and no there is some people as soon as they get in taxi start warning the driver don't take the longer route and do so don't do that they are simply paranoids people and you can;t help it,

first i have to admit that west lothian council have to set up a language test for any private hire or taxis drivers ,it is been clear that is no longer an option ,taxis is a communication business it all to do with communication

and again and again lounges come first in these kind of business ,plus it's give a very bad reputation and impression that all foreign drivers are ignored and they can't speak english which for sure not true

TAXI Drives has a very well known reputation they are taking too much no any longer ,in this day taxi drivers are more carefull and more restricted with taking to customers, it is been a very dangers business which also will lead us to the taxis and private hire insurance

taxi and private hire drivers are not insured in they own taxis

in case of an accident customers are insured by the taxi insurance policy even the lamppost insured but the drivers are not would that make any sense i am sending a message to all council in scotland and uk to force all insurance company who offer a taxis insurance to offer and immediate insurance for drivers
